Sweet folk

I stumbled across these two a few weeks back. They are sisters from Stokholm, Sweden; and they have an unreal sound! If you haven’t heard of them yet, you should really take a listen to this tune.

A perfect song for a drive out to the water, or havin’ a cuppa vino on the deck on a beautiful day like today! Wherever you are, sit back, relax and enjoy the song.

As usual… Keep loving with an open heart!

Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to pick yourself up and continue that counts.

– Winston Churchill

Through the thick of it all, remember that hard times are temporary, but your will to continue should be permanent.

Long walk to Freedom

“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin,

or his background, or his religion.

People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate,

the can be taught to love,

for love comes more naturally to the human heart than it’s opposite.”

– Nelson Mandela

Just a little something to carry with you for the week – fitting for the start of a new week! Everything is so much better with a bit of love sprinkled throughout our day, Happy Monday all.

Keep loving with an open heart,

The Summer Day

“Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear?
Who made the grasshopper?
This grasshopper, I mean-
the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,
who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down-
who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes.
Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.
Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away.
I don’t know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?”

~ Mary Oliver

In the midst of all the hectic, remember to take a deep breath … look around, and take it in, because you could lose it all in a second.

Keep loving with an open heart,
